Do you want to be great at your job and not merely good? Many people settle for good because well…it’s just easier. Some people don’t even try to be great. Those are the individuals that are not striving to do the best and be the best for their Head Start organization. Going from good to great is not magic. It’s passion, purpose, and action. Find your path, have a purpose, and make it happen. Turn your resistance into growth and fully immerse yourself in the experience. Get out of your own way and to create success for yourself by channeling your thinking, feeling, and doing. To go from good to great, you need to be disciplined with disciplined thoughts and disciplined actions. Think about the thoughts that serve you, feel the feelings that empower you, and do what you know needs to be done. Applying this approach in your profession will in no time…take you from good to great! If you want to reach your true and full potential in your Head Start role….join us for this advanced level learning opportunity series that will take you from being good at your job to GREAT!

The HR/Fiscal training is an opportunity for individuals supporting all functions of HR & Fiscal:  Recruitment – Safety –  Employee Relations – Compensation and Benefits – Compliance – Talent Development – Fiscal Management—to come together to listen, learn, network and build a professional community to advance your agencies performance. This training will focus on both general employment laws and specific Head Start    Requirements. We will encourage time for robust discussions with your colleagues – other HR/Fiscal Professionals, so that you can learn how other agencies manage and handle challenges around human          resources and fiscal.

HR discussion agenda items include: the intersection of Head Start governance and human resources, managing the increase in minimum wage, personnel policies, background checks, staff qualifications and  competencies, internal investigations, social media.

Fiscal Management Agenda items include: compensation, cost principles, facilities and property, financial management systems, reporting requirements, procurement policies and procedures.
