This workshop was originally scheduled for March 3, 2015, but due to the snow storm it was cancelled and is being rescheduled for March 25, 2015. If you previously registered for this workshop you do not have to register again.

As the lines between technology and lifestyle blur, the choices become limitless and overwhelming. What works for you? Does your business require a computer at a desk? Are you chauffeuring kids, running errands and need to answer emails throughout the day? This "mid-level" workshop broadly explores . . .

  • Syncing - What hardware and software allows for the greatest simplicity, flexibility and functionality for your business?
  • Email - How can "really important" emails be safeguarded and always available?
  • Mobile Computing - Can a tablet or smartphone replace a laptop?
  • Avoiding Downtime - Is paid antivirus software "worth it"?
  • Software - How much is too much and what are some of the productivity choices?
  • Online Research and Storage - How do you "cautiously capitalize on the cloud"?

Our Speaker:  Bud Freund teaches technology and provides tech support to small businesses and families looking for reasonable, cost-effective technology solutions. Bud also provides training to individuals, groups and corporations including GE, UBS and the YMCA. His curriculum covers a broad range of hardware and software skills including safe internet practices, mobility, digital imaging and Excel.
