This workshop will focus on the centerpiece of internet marketing efforts - the website. What makes a website work? What doesn't? In a visually rich and entertaining presentation, designer Jeff Seaver explores dozens of examples as we examine the inner workings of a successful interactive experience. This workshop will address domain naming, WordPress, do-it-yourself sites, usability, design and content. We will analyze what it takes to convert site visitors into leads and loyal customers. Topics that will be covered:
- What research tells us about visitor behavior
- What makes content compelling
- How to create or redesign a website for your business - what options are open to you
- Creating blogs
- Designing websites to work on big and small screens
Our Speaker: Jeff Seaver
Jeff owns Seaver Interactive, a website design and internet marketing firm in Westport, CT. An accomplished graphic designer as well as computer expert, Jeff has decades of experience in the communication arts and has been building websites for over 20 years. He teaches at the graduate school level and lectures widely on internet marketing. Jeff is a SCORE business mentor. He developed and moderates the internet marketing workshop series for SCORE.
