Marketing to Mobile Devices

This workshop will examine how to market successfully to customers using mobile devices. Topics that will be covered:

  • The latest data and trends: how mobile devices are changing the consumer and altering their behavior (reliance upon Smartphones for searches, Google dominance, use of Yelp, price comparison shopping in stores, etc.)
  • Platforms for mobile devices: "responsive design", use of WordPress and tips for working with your existing website to convert to mobile.
  • Discussion on how to help your customers find you more easily via:
    • Mapping
    • Budgeting for mobile search marketing
    • Social Media (Goolge Plus, etc.)
    • Mobile Promotions
    • Text based client list - building one for more effective communications
    • Using creative social media tactics (Instagram, Twitter, etc.) to build loyalty and fun (2 examples of big and small brands getting very clever)

Our Speaker:  Kate Berg

Kate is an accomplished entrepreneur in digital media and mobile, she is currently the CEO of MRE, a Stamford based company using mobile and other technologies to help residential real estate agents compete locally and close more transactions. Kate has held leadership positions at Gartner, KPMG, Jupiter (now part of Forrester), HFMUS (now part of Hearst), and Mojiva, among other leading firms. Prior to joing MRE in June 2014 her most recent role was serving as President of Collective Bias, a high growth content marketing and social media company named to the annual Forbes List of 100 Most Promising Companies. She frequently speaks and writes on the topics of mobile and social media, and was named one of Mobile Marketer's Mobile Women to Watch in 2010.
