This FREE workshop will explore the practical legal issues that arise from owning and operating a business.

You will learn about:

  • Basic sales agreements
  • Issues facing consultancies and services businesses
  • Employee and independent contractor issues
  • Doing business on the internet
  • Intro to legal aspects of social media

Our Panel of Experts of this Workshop are:

Will Tennant is a business and IP attorney practicing in Fairfield County, CT and New York City. He works with small businesses in various stages handling diverse matters and transactions that include business formation, contracts, trademarks, IP, licensing, internet and business disputes. Will is also a SCORE business counselor.

Ann Matthews is an attorney in the Corporate Department of Wiggin and Dana LLP. Ann practices in Connecticut and New York, representing public and privately-held companies in acquisitions, divestitures, commercial transactions and other general corporate matters. She also regularly advises public companies on securities law compliance and corporate goverance.

Christelle Dorcil is an attorney in the Corporate Department at Wiggin and Dana LLP. She has worked with large financial institutions and borrowers in connection with the negotiation, documentation and closing of commercial lending transactions as well as corporate formation and governance matters.
