Greenville Area Interfaith Hospitality Network
Training/Orientation
Sunday, April 19, 12:30 p.m.
Volunteers Needed
Twenty-four dynamic Greenville-area congregations generously use their classrooms and other facilities to offer homeless families safe lodging, nourishing meals, and genuine hospitality—right down to the mint on the pillow! Each congregation hosts the guest families for a week at a time, about four (4) times a year on a rotating schedule, and/or provides transitional housing for families. Eighteen other congregations provide volunteer services & support resources.
St. James participates in GAIHN by hosting families in our classrooms and Parish Life Center in the summertime. We will provide food, shelter and love to homeless families in Greenville from May 31-June 7 and again from August 2-9.
If you are interested in helping with these hosting opportunities, please plan to attend the training / orientation session on Sunday, April 19, at 12:30 p.m. in the Parish Life Center. We are asking everyone to attend the training event even if you have help with GAIHN in the past. A light lunch will be provided.
Thank you for your commitment to the least fortunate in our community!
