This event is part of Salamander Saturday, (May 6, 2017), an initiative started by the Foundation for the Conservation of Salamanders to raise awareness about salamanders, their habitats and their role in the ecosystem. To help with these efforts, Salamander Conservationist - Matt Ellerbeck (A.K.A THE SALAMANDER MAN) will be providing a FREE presentation on the conservation of these animals on Friday, May 5th - 4:00 pm - at the Quinte Conservation office. The presentation will feature many live salamanders for visitors to meet, including both local and exotic species.
