Who is New Jersey Orators?
The New Jersey Orators is a non-profit organization serving over 5,000 youth from 7 to 18 years of age with chapters in 19 cities throughout New Jersey and 2 in Pennsylvania. Since its inception in 1985
they dedicated their mission to teaching the art of public speaking, an appreciation for literature, reading and media arts literacy, and life skills to the youth in preparation for college.
We welcome to our luncheon and awards program
all students, parents, teachers, principals, elected officials, corporate and individual supporters to celebrate with us 30 years of teaching the art of public speaking.

Dr. Julianne Malveaux

and President Emeritus of Bennett College
for Women
Who is Dr. Julianne Malveaux?
She is an author, economist, and President Emeritus of Bennett College for Women in North Carolina. She holds a Ph.D. in economics from MIT as well as a bachelor's and masters in economics from Boston College. She has served as faculty and visiting faculty and several institutions of higher learning including The New School for Social Research, San Francisco State University, the University of California - Berkeley, College of Notre Dame (California), Howard University, and Michigan State University.
Additionally, she has numerous honorary degrees. Dr. Malveaux has written books and articles, and has appeared as an expert commentator on CNN, NBC, MSNBC, and BET on topics that affect the lives of adults and children, including issues of socio-economics and education. In 2004, she penned an article analyzing the SAT entitled "New SAT or No SAT?"
