The District of Columbia Behavioral Health Association invites you to join us for 2014 Policy Summit & Annual Celebration. On Wednesday, December 3, 2014 from 1:00 - 6:00 P.M. at the Hilton Garden Inn (1225 1st Street N.E., Washington, DC 20002).
The 2014 Policy Summit & Annual Celebration has a robust slate of speakers including the Deputy Director of the National Institute on Mental Health, City Council Members including the Chair of the Committee on Health, the Director of the Department of Behavioral Heath, the Acting Director of DC Medicaid, the Policy Advisor for the Health Benefit Exchange, and the Bazelon Center for Mental Health Law. Additionally, the event will draw chief executive officers, clinical directors, program supervisors, financial officers and providers offering mental health or substance abuse treatment, as well as primary care and housing services, from across the District.
Through parity and insurer accountability, the Affordable Care Act promised to increase access to addiction and mental health services. Instead, the use of behavioral health services has stagnated or shrank for many payors. Join us to learn how utilization and reform trends are shaping the future of behavioral healthcare in the District. We will highlight the provider practice and policy changes needed to integrate care, improve access, and capture the promise of health reform.
