Please join Georgia Writers Association and Adam Robinson of Publishing Genius for our FREE May 12th event from 12-2 at the KSU Center, Room 300.
"Pressing the Button: What Publishing Means in 2018"
In this discussion, Adam Robinson will present a brief history of publishing and how it's different today—and what those changes could mean for our concept of community. We'll discuss what the different people in the publishing world are interested in (from magazine editors to book publishers to agents to designers to publicists), and practical ways writers might approach them, putting the best foot forward for their work.
Adam Robinson runs Publishing Genius, an award-winning small press focused on poetry and literary fiction. He works as a publishing consultant and has taught publishing courses in the MFA program at University of Baltimore and presented at numerous other colleges and publishing programs. His first book, Adam Robison and Other Poems, was nominated for the Goodreads Poetry Award, and he self-published his second book, Say Poem, in 2010. He is also the editor of Our Primary Focus, an e-book about small press culture as described in interviews with writers, book sellers and publishers.
