TVNPA continues its seminar series illustrating best practices in development and philanthropy at nonprofit organizations.
We welcome TVNPA member Judith Parker, Independent Consultant at Interim Fund Development Services and instructor at the Sanford Institute of Philanthropy, and Solomon Belette, Director of Sanford Institute of Philanthropy. TVNPA’s program this month will focus on building a culture of philanthropy in our institutions and organizations, with an emphasis on planning for sustainability and growth.
About Our Speakers:
Judith Parker is currently a consultant at Interim Fund Development Services, providing a range of fund development services to small and medium sized nonprofits. She is also a member and instructor with the Sanford Institute of Philanthropy’s new Fund Raising Academy Program. A former member of AFP Golden Gate Chapter and DER, Judith was also the co-chair of the East Bay Leadership Council’s Social Responsibility Task Force and co-founded the EBLC Philanthropy Awards Breakfast. She also launched and co-facilitated the Contra Costa Development Directors Group.
Additionally, Judith is an independent consultant member of the TVNPA.
Judith has served as a Development Director for 15 years and has worked with many types and sizes of nonprofits that were experiencing challenges or major transitions impacting critical fund development activities. She incorporates a donor-centered philosophy and utilizes industry best practices with proven results. She has years of successful donor stewardship in Contra Costa and understands the local philanthropic community.
Mr. Solomon Belette is Director of the Sanford Institute of Philanthropy at John F. Kennedy University. Mr. Belette has also served the Catholic Charities of the East Bay as Chief Executive Officer from 2005 – 2013. Prior to working for Catholic Charities, he served as Regional Director for Migration and Refugee Services and as Assistant Director for Program Management Support within the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops in San Francisco and Washington, D.C. Additionally, Mr. Solomon has extensive experience in nonprofit management, leadership and strategic feasibility planning through his consultancy business.
He has also served on nonprofit boards, including the Sanford Institute of Philanthropy Advisory Council, FEMA, and the East Bay Leadership Council and is the board president for the Village Community Resource Center.
Mr. Belette earned his B.A in Sociology at St. John’s University and is currently pursuing an MBA at John F. Kennedy University.

TVNPA Monthly Meetings are always open to the community at large at no cost.
There is no fee to attend TVNPA's monthly meetings. Membership in the alliance is not required to participate. Pre-registration is preferred, but not required! We encourage you to bring your colleagues. Simply add additional colleagues when you register for the event.
