9:00 a.m.          Welcoming Program and Attendee Interview

Introduction to the program and welcome by National Fuel representatives. Meet your colleagues.

9:30 a.m.          Climate Change Jigsaw

After a short presentation, break into groups to read about and then teach about climate change. 

10:30 a.m.        Properties of CO2

A demonstration of how to Work with dry ice to explore the properties of this gas.

10:50 a.m.        Quick Break & Grab Water for Greenhouse in a Beaker

11:00 a.m.        Greenhouse in a Beaker

This activity will model the conditions that occur in a greenhouse, or in our atmosphere during the greenhouse effect.

11:40 a.m.        Climate Web

12:00 p.m.        Lunch & wellness break

12:30 p.m.        Introduction to En-Roads Simulation Activity

Learn about and try out this policy simulation model that gives everyone the chance to design their own scenarios to limit future global warming. 

1:15 p.m.          Energy Efficiency Night Live

These activities will help incorporate energy efficiency into a language arts component with group-based collaboration. 

2:00 p.m.          Conservation in the Round

2:15 p.m.         National Fuel Home Kit Program for Students

Explore the components included with a class-set of 30 home energy efficiency kits for students to take home, install with their families, and start saving energy. 

2:45 p.m.          Wrap Up – Post-test and evaluation, Q&A

3:00 p.m.          Adjourn
