Level 2 Workshop

For teachers familiar with PEEP offerings and NEED kits and curriculum

8:45 a.m.         Log-in and Register

Take a quick pre-workshop assessment and meet fellow attendees. Workshop will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. 

9:00 a.m.         Welcome and Introduction to the PEEP 2.0 Program

9:15 a.m.         Review of Kit Opportunities

Take a quick look through the kits available for PEEP participants. Discuss activities, leveling, and adaptations for virtual settings.

10:00 a.m.       Energy Efficiency and Conservation

 Get hands on in your setting and explore energy saving audit activities from the School Energy curriculum. Take a look at the kit materials and discuss student energy team opportunities.

10:45 a.m.       Energy House

Put it into practice! Use what you’ve learned to create a home that helps you limit thermal energy transfer.

12:00 p.m.      Lunch

12:20 p.m.      Climate Science

Test out a few hands-on activities that will demonstrate the science behind our changing climate and how energy consumption is related.

1:30 p.m.        Virtual Energy Fair

Try your hand at some of our Energy Carnival games adapted for the virtual setting and explore how to host your own virtual energy carnival or fair during the school year.

2:30 p.m.        Energy Careers Exploration

Take a quick look at some great energy careers resources from NEED and beyond.

2:50 p.m.        Wrap-Up, Evaluation and Kit Request

3:00 p.m.        Adjourn
