Integrating Nuclear Energy Education into the Classroom. 

 9:30 a.m.         The Science of Energy

Participants explore hand-on energy transformations and create a deeper understanding of the forms of energy and how they are transformed to provide energy used each day.

 11:00 a.m.       Electric Connections

After learning about the Science of Energy, participants begin studying the sources of energy. What are they? Where do they come from? How do we use each of the 10 sources of energy?

 11:30 a.m.       Control Room Simulator Tour

 12:00 p.m.      Lunch

 12:45 p.m.      Nuclear Energy 101

 1:00 p.m.         Exploring Nuclear Energy

Participate in lessons and activities designed to help students understand the radiation, the nuclear fuel cycle, electricity generation from uranium and the storage of used nuclear fuel.

 2:30 p.m.         Nuclear in the Round and Energy Efficiency Web

 3:00 p.m.         Paperwork and other fun stuff!

Complete workshop evaluations, post-test, receive substitute reimbursement and complete your order form.
