PG&E Better Together STEM High School Program

Pacific Gas and Electric Company is proud to announce an exciting program to provide high school teachers with resources that expand STEM education, career awareness, and workforce readiness.

In each monthly webinar, teachers will hear directly from energy experts about industry trends and will be the first to learn about new program offerings and free hands-on workshops.

Who is eligible: Teachers of grades 9 through 12 in educational programs in communities served by Pacific Gas and Electric are welcome to participate.

How it works:  Teachers simply register to receive monthly invitations to participate in a webinar. There’s no commitment to join the webinar unless the topic interests you, and after each call teachers can decide to pursue offered opportunities or pass them on.

Dates: Webinars occur on the first Wednesday of every month from 3:30 pm to 4:15 pm

Sample Topics:

  *   The “Grid of Things”: insight into emerging technologies in energy

  *   The future of electric vehicle and battery storage

  *   Hands-on renewable energy kits and workshops

  *   Industry experts describe exciting STEM careers

  *   Robotics competition sponsorships

  *   How to invite energy experts into your classrooms

  *   Paid summer internships for high school students

  *   Scholarship programs for seniors and graduates

  *   PG&E Solar Suitcase Program

  *   Green 360 Career Exploration
