9:00 a.m.             The Science of Energy

Learn more about the forms of energy and energy transformations while experimenting with the Science of Energy kit.  Take a quick pre-workshop assessment.     

 11:00 a.m.           Energy Round Up & Electric Connections

Learn about the nation’s energy resources as they are used to generate electricity.

11:45 p.m.           Lunch and Phillips 66 Speaker

Following the lessons on energy sources, a local Phillips 66 representative will speak about today’s and tomorrow’s energy challenges and the company’s activities in the local area.

12:30 p.m.           Intro to Oil & Gas 

1:00 p.m.             Oil & Gas Activities

Learn about exploration, production, refining, chemical manufacturing, transportation, marketing, and uses of petroleum, natural gas, and their products in the industrial sector.

2:30 p.m.           Understanding Energy Efficiency – The Energy Conservation Web

This quick lesson allows participants to understand their home and school as a system and to better conserve energy resources.

Complete Workshop Evaluations, Post-workshop assessment, receive substitute reimbursement forms, and complete Order Forms for Curriculum and Kits
