The Impact of Toxic Stress on the Developing Child

50 years of research has demonstrated that secure attachment, or good early childhood mental health, allows children to think clearly, develop socially, learn new skills, enjoy more happiness with their parents, solve problems with friends and family, feel less anger at their parents, build self-esteem, develop a positive mental outlook, and be better prepared for success during the school years.  These are all important traits for navigating the path from childhood into adult living.

While fostering a child’s mental and emotional needs of children is not as obvious as physical health needs. Knowing how to support the right conditions for secure attachment relationship is a part of each of us when we know how to see and support what is actually hidden in plain sight

Please join us for a workshop on the The Impact of Toxic Stress on the Developing Child and the Protective Power of Secure Care-giver/Parent Child Relationships.
