Description of the Course:
In this course, you'll learn about building supervisory skills and implementing them prior to taking a supervisory position. You will learn about hard and soft skills needed as an employee and how those shift when taking a supervisory position. You’ll be able to describe a variety of different supervision models as well as their effectiveness in practice. You’ll learn about NASW/Ohio CSWMFT Board Best Practice Standards in Supervision. You will learn how to practice and assess readiness to transition into a supervisory position.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify different modalities of supervision.
- Examine hard and soft skills needed in the practice of social work and differences between employee versus supervisor role in using these skills.
- Identify NASW/Ohio CSWMFT Board best practice standards in supervision.
- Assess readiness to transition into a supervisory role.
