Susan Elliott - Manager, Corporate Development, Canadian Cancer Society

This includes identifying prospective nationwide organizations and engaging them through various strategies - corporate giving, cause marketing initiatives, employee engagement, and sponsorships.

Before working in the not-for-profit field, Susan enjoyed a diverse, 20 year career at the CIBC Group of Companies, primarily in the technology and infrastructure areas. During the latter half of her tenure, she served as the voluntary Employee Campaign Chair for CIBC’s annual United Way campaigns. She left her position as Vice President, Executive Services and joined the United Way of Toronto’s annual campaign as a Loaned Representative in 2004. It is through this experience, and through serving as a volunteer on the United Way of GTA’s allocation committee, that she discovered her passion in working with and advocating for not-for-profit organizations.
