Edible Adventure Crew provides the experience of harvesting and gleaning foods on local farms and sustainably gathering edible foods in the wild. Join us on August 3rd at Well-Rooted Farms.
How it works: We will meet at Well-Rooted Farms at 8am sharp for a farm tour by Farmer Scott Maricle, followed by a melon tasting and then quickly to picking some cucumbers for pickling. It is important to pick cukes when it's cool, or else they become bitter quickly! We will send you home with some recipes for canning, fermenting, and fun summer recipes.
What to bring: BYO containers for picking and transporting your veggies, water, sunscreen, a hat and a snack! We are being offered a discount as a group, so be sure to arrive on time so we can give you the group discount code.
Things to know: There is ample parking but we encourage car-pooling! Many other veggies to pick, including green beans and squash on the farm. Shaded parking is limited and dogs are not allowed.
