"Lunch and Learn" Event:

Employing the Absent Employee:  Handling Leaves of Absence and Reasonable Accommodation in California:

by Karen L. Gabler, Esq. (LightGabler)

California has more mandatory leaves of absence than any other state.  When leaves are unavailable or have been exhausted, employers must reasonably accommodate employee leaves.  To avoid costly litigation, employers must understand when a leave is available to the employee, and what employer obligations can be enforced with regard to reinstatement, insurance coverage and more.  In this informative program, employment attorney Karen Gabler will discuss California’s mandatory leaves and the process every employer must follow in handling employee disabilities and leaves.
