Tour of the Rexnord Innovation Center

This month, the ASME Milwaukee Section will tour the Rexnord Innovation Center on West Beloit Road in Milwaukee.  Following the tour, we will have dinner at Meyer's Restaurant in Greenfield.

The Rexnord Innovation Center is the research and development group for Rexnord Industries, LLC.  Located in Milwaukee, WI the dedicated facility is staffed with a variety of engineers, scientists, and technicians who provide testing, development support, and applied research for the Industrial Bearings, Couplings, Gears, Modular Conveyor Belting, Industrial Chain, Aerospace, and Water Management business units.  In addition to internal R&D, the Innovation Center provides engineering services to outside clients through RTS (Rexnord Technical Services).  This accredited laboratory provides a full range of mechanical, material, and engineering services, including: servo-hydraulic fatigue testing, component testing, metallurgy & material analysis, failure analysis, environmental testing, field load measurement, mechanical shock & vibration testing, and bearing testing & analysis.  The group serves a variety of end markets including: mining, aggregate/cement, wood/paper, food & grain, chemicals, energy, off-road vehicles, and aerospace & defense.
 
In addition to an introductory Corporate Overview of Rexnord, a tour of the Rexnord Innovation Center will be provided where they will highlight their testing capabilities and examples of some of their project work.  Additionally, for the benefit of any students in attendance, they will share information on their Technical / Engineering talent development programs designed to recruit and develop a strong pipeline of engineering talent for their Company.
