By Mark Walker of Boxx Communications
At The Society of Television Engineers

Our presenter for the September 18 STE meeting will be Mark Walker of Boxx Communications (not affiliated with Boxx Technologies). He will present some entertaining videos and discussion of their new Meridian and Zenith microwave systems which are a step forward for live productions, helicopters, reality shows, sports and anywhere else where zero latency and maximum reliability are required. This should be an eye-opening evening what is possible today using advanced technology.

Mark Walker started his video/cinema career in his native Australia. An accomplished videographer, Walker was also the youngest producer to sell a one-hour independent documentary to a major network in the land down under (Flight for Life to Network 7 Australia). While searching for unique experiences, Walker provided his services for the Jerry Bruckheimer series Profiles from the Front, where he captured violent battle scenes in war torn Afghanistan. After moving to Los Angeles, Walker has worked with the Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Jim Rose Circus, and NASCAR’s California 500. In addition his clients include Cadillac, Nike, Electronic Arts, the Associated Press, ESPN, Fox Sports Net, and every major network.

Mark was nominated For an Emmy in 2005 for his work shooting “CBS” the amazing race.
