Philippine Mangyan Heritage: A Lecture and Poetry Reading of Pre-Hispanic Literature

The US-Philippines Society and Sentro Rizal Washington DC invite you to a special lecture on Mangyan culture and "Bamboo Whispers" a book of the best 100 Mangyan "ambahan" (poem) in two scripts, Philippines' last surviving pre-colonial scripts, with translations. A national treasure and registered with UNESCO, an ambahan chant will be performed.
