2nd Southern Maryland Regional Coalition meeting 

Join the College of Southern Maryland, Tri-County Council, the Rural Maryland Council, and the Community Development Network of Maryland (CDN) for the 2nd Southern Maryland Regional Meeting on March 16, 2015 from noon-2pm.  Lunch will be provided.

CDN has been organizing regional coalitions across the state. The first meeting in Southern Maryland took place on September 23, 2014.  There was a very lively discussion.  The notes from that meeting can be found on the CDN website here.

The purpose of organizing regional coalitions is to help CDN understand the community development needs in an area and how we can be helpful in terms of capacity building and also initiating legislation. Networking among community development stakeholders in each region is also important.

For the meeting on March 16, we'll continue the conversation about community development capacity and needs in the region, with some ideas that a small group has come up with to share.

CDN will also breif participants about relevant legislation in Annapolis and start the conversation about the community development indicators.
