COURSE DESCRIPTION:   The “X” Factor

Xylitol use is a key factor in keeping healthy. We know now more than ever that health begins right up front - with the nose and mouth being the gateways to our body! This course will review the latest research on xylitol’s role against respiratory pathogens then delve into how we can help our patients create a healthy communal microbiome between the nose and the mouth. Also presented will be latest information on the mechanism of action xylitol offers for our general health. A thorough overview on how xylitol helps create a healthy oral flora, reduces biofilm formation, aids in caries prevention, and provides relief for patients living with dry mouth will offer a good understanding of why Xylitol needs to be “top of mind” for those patients Monday morning!
