Hokies Vs Hoo's for Charity

Hokies VS Hoos for Charity was started in 2012 by Kyle Linegar a die hard hokie fan, in hopes of bringing together two rival fanbases for a friendly competition to benefit an incredible cause. It is Kyle's hope to grow the Hokies Vs Hoo's for charity events each and every year making it possible for many different charites to reap the benefits of a long standing rivalry.

The Hokies choose to play for Chase After a Cure because Chase Ringler is the son of two Virginia Tech Hokies, and one thing all Hokies have learned over the past 5 years, is that the Hokies unite to take care of each other. Also, the Hokies beilieve that no child should have to experince what chase had to endure as a child.

The Hoos choose to play for Kidz 1st Fund because UVA's coach Mike London, and his family have dealt with the Struggle of Fanconi anemia first hand. Coach London's daughter, Ticynn, suffered through agonizing process of finding a bone marrow donor for years. The Hoos believe that no child should have to languish through such a process and we can all help find more donor matches for kids like Ticynn.
