Details

A company in northwest Pennsylvania is proposing the construction of a biomass to synthetic fuel plant in Crawford County, PA. The plant is designed to produce 6 to 8 million gallons per year of synthetic diesel fuel using a patented Proton Power Incorporated (PPI) process that produces hydrogen from wood chips or other cellulosic biomass. The core technology, referred to as Cellulose to Hydrogen Power (CHyP) is ideal for the production of power or for the use of producing synthetic fuels as either renewable diesel or aviation fuel. In this process, the plant will primarily produce diesel fuel. The by-products generated from the process will be biochar, which can be used as a soil supplement, wood vinegar, graphene and waste water.  Mr. Pezze will discuss the permitting process and the attractiveness of this process including potential uses for the bi-products.
