Our first meeting of the 2017-18 year will be a tour of Cobblehaus Brewing Co, a micro brewery facility and tavern in downtown Coraopolis, PA
Come hear how owner Scott Mills and partners turned his long-term dream into a reality then optionally you can evaluate his products and provide direct QC feedback to Scott.
The Cobblehaus Brewing Co. is located in the heart of downtown Coraoplois at 1021 Fifth Avenue. There is a city parking lot next to the building with plenty of room for 30-40 cars.
Agenda
We will start at 6pm with a networking session where you can chat with other members and learn how they spent their summer. We will provide soft drinks, water, chips and pretzels. Scott and his crew will provide product samples from their cash bar.
At 6:30 we will have fresh hot pizza delivered from Anthony Jr's which is conveniently located across the street.
Scott will give a short presentation then invite small groups of us to tour his production facility in the back of the building. We expect to conclude the meeting at 8:30pm but come when you can, leave when you must. Feel free to bring guests who might be interested in the chemical engineering facets of beer making.
We priced this event modestly - only $15 for members and guests; $5 for ChE students from our local colleges. You must register and pre-pay online so we have a good headcount and can order the correct amount of food and drink for the event.
