Each spring the Pittsburgh Chapter of AIChE honors the students from our 5 local chem engr schools (Pitt, CMU, WVU, Geneva, and YSU).  This year the event will be held in Room 548 of the William Pitt Student Union at the Univ. of Pittsburgh campus in the Oakland section of Pittsburgh.  

We will be recognizing an outstanding student from each school with a certificate along with a small monetary award.  All chem engr students from our 5 local schools are invited to attend at a special reduced price of only $10 - but you must register and prepay by April 3rd).  

The Student Union caterers are preparing a delicious buffet dinner for us consisting of 

  • Tossed Salad with Ranch, or Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing
  • Roast Chicken with Stuffing
  • Cod Florentine with Cheese and Spinich Topping
  • Oven Herbed Roasted Potatoes 
  • Fresh Roasted Vegetable Medley 
  • Rolls & Butter
  • Yellow Sheet Cake with Icing
  • Coffee, Tea, or Soft Drinks

Following dinner, we will have a short awards ceremory followed by a panel discussion of the many career options available to today's chemical engineer graduates:

In addition to limited on-street parking, there is inexpensive parking in the parking garage under Soldiers & Sailors Hall, across 5th Avenue from the Student Union.
