15th Annual NTSGNA Lone Star Roundup

NTSGNA conference is intended for gastroenterology nurse, registered nurses, and associates who are interested in learning about new treatment modalities for gastrointestinal disorders and advanced technologies such as minimally invasive upper gastrointestinal tract endoscopic techniques  that are now performed in the GI lab. Furthermore, one of the new topics is the role of "Cannabis in the GI tract and Ion Robotics Bronchoscopy". Offering 5 contact hours for nurses and associates and 2 contact hours (vendor CE).

OBJECTIVES:

Upon completion of this educational activity, participants should be able to:

  • Explain the importance of endoscopic suturing.
  • Describe the current management approach of Crohn's.
  • Describe the utility of different advanced diagnostic bronchoscopy techniques combined with adjunct advanced imaging modalities in sampling lung nodules.
  • Identify the role of endoscopy in GERD management
  • Explain the role of "Cannabis" in the GI world.

Note: Fees include buffet breakfast,snacks ,lunch and course materials. Since meeting rooms and personal comfort preferences vary widely, we suggest you bring your jacket or sweater with you. Course materials can be accessed thru a code sent by email. but some topics slides will not be available per presenter preference.

Registration deadline is until September 6, 2022.

Cancellations will be accepted 2 weeks before the event. Requests for refunds must be submitted in writing by 5pm. Refunds will be subject to a $25 administrative fee. After September 3, 2021 all fees are non-refundable. No Cash payment. Please email if you have any questions regarding registration.

Registration Desk: 

The registration desk will be open at 0630 am . Officers will assist you with any questions you may have. If  you need assitance to sign up or renew your SGNA membership,  computer will be available and staff will assist you. Please make sure to have your nursing license number available specially for vendor CE program.

Sign In sheets & name tags  

Please be sure to sign the sign-in sheets at the regsitration desk. As a coutesy to other participants and conference staff, please wear your name tags throughout the conference.

Cell Phones and Pagers: 

Place all electronic device such as cellphones and pagers in a silent/vibrate mode during the conference.

Index cards for question and answer/BINGO:

Each participant will be provided with  2-3 index cards. The index card is for you to write down questions after each topic if you have any. Staff will collect the index card and read it to the presenter. One BINGO card will be  included as well in the course materials. All you need to do is to complete the BINGO card and that serve as your entry for the raffle.

Certificate of Completion:

 Please complete the evaluation form, all comments are welcome. This is very important information for helping us improve our future programs. The evaluation form should be completed and submitted to the registration desk at the end of the conference. Participants are required to attend the entire conference to get the whole credit. No partial credit can be given.

Per CDC protocol: If you  are attending a gathering, think about the steps you need to take to protect yourself and your loved ones from COVID-19. Make sure you are up to date with your COVID-19 vaccines. In general, people do not need to wear masks when outdoors. If you are sick and need to be around others or are caring for someone who has COVID-19. wear a mask. If you are at risk for severe illness, wear a mask or respirator that provides you with greater protection. Testing before a gathering can give you information about your risk of spreading COVID-19. Consider using a self-test before joining indoor gatherings with others who do not live in your household. Stay home if you test positive, even if you do not have symptoms. Stay home if you are sick or experiencing symptoms of COVID-19. Communicate with the people you will meet with about prevention strategies. Mask and Sanitizers will be available in the event.
