Literature iSTEM and the NGSS/NJSLS-S,
Grades Pre-K - K
This is a one-day opportunity for educators to gain resources and strategies to incorporate fiction and nonfiction texts, poetry, and picture books into their NGSS/NJSLS-S curriculum for Grades Pre-K-K. In this workshop, teachers will be working with long-time classics and new STEM-themed books.
The day's activities will include sharing design-based strategy tips, book lists, previews of new materials, activities, and grade-specific lessons to use with Pre-K - K students to enhance integrated STEM programs.
Trainer Information:
Jodi Ann C. Turner is an educator/consultant for the Center for Excellence in STEM Education at TCNJ with 29 years experience in the classroom. She currently works in the field with administrators, teachers and students Grades Pre-K - 6 to develop purposeful integrative STEM experiences aligned to NGSS/NJSLS-S.
