when Kate Mayer, will present
"To Seriously Be Taken Seriously. Seriously! (When women are dismissed, avoided, or erased from the deal)"
The Working Women's Forum welcomes back Kate Mayer to our final gathering of the season, Wednesday May 8. Kate has plenty to share on this topic; audience members are encouraged to share their own experiences or simply enjoy listening.
Kate Mayer is a potty-mouthed, irreverent writer, humorist, and activist writing out loud at www.kathrynmayer.com, and occasionally funny on Facebook, Instagram & Twitter. She writes with humor, wit, and a great dose of levity about teenagers, aging, midlife, social issues, and, sigh, gun violence prevention. She was recently selected as a coveted BlogHer 2017 Voice of the Year Honoree, and her blog, KathrynMayer.com was awarded Best Personal Blog 2017 by the CT Press Club. Her essays appear all over the web on sites such as Cosmopolitan, Good Housekeeping, Erma Bombeck Writers’ Workshop, BluntMoms, Scary Mommy, and Grown & Flown, and she is a proud Listen To Your Mother NYC alum.
Networking and light dinner begins at 6pm, followed by the guest speaker. Program and dinner fee is $10 for members; $25 for non-members, along with a cash bar.
