Free Swimming Lessons Ages 10-14 Only
POAC is partnering with Inclusion Sports Performance Training this year to provide swim lessons and water safety programming to families of children (of all ages) with autism. The program will be held at Inclusion Sports Performance Training (Ewing, NJ) in eight week sessions starting this September, 2021. Sessions will be held on Sundays. There is a one time $20 registration fee for each eight- week session, all other fees will be paid for by POAC and Inclusion Sports Performance Training. Please note that your child's progress depends on consistent participation and your registration represents your commitment to attend all 8 weeks (with the exception of illness of child or caregiver).
The program will be for parent/caregiver and child with autism (of any age) and will require at least one parent/caregiver to be in the water during the class. The pool is only 4 feet deep. The classes are scheduled to be half an hour long. All participants that are NOT toilet trained will be required to wear a swim diaper and a reusable rubber or cloth diaper as a means to avoid accidents in the pool. Please note that if your child doesn’t have the required pool wear, they will not be able to participate. Please remember to bring a towel, change of clothes and goggles/ear plugs if that makes your child more comfortable. We do have changing rooms for your use.

Sundays, November 7 - December 26
Times for each session are as follows:
Ages 3-6 10:00am-10:30am
Ages 6-9 10:45am-11:15am
Ages 10-14 11:30am-12:00pm
Ages 15 and up 12:15pm-12:45pm
