Summer Fun, Fitness and Safety Celebration for Children with ASD & Other Developmental Disabilities 

Join us for a day of fun in and out of the pool, and sample some of the great programs and services offered by the local community. This free event is offered to children with autism and other developmental disabilities and their families. We will have free time in the pool*, a Get Fit program demonstration, Zumba, pizza, refreshments and more.

In addition to all the fun activities, you can sign your child up for a 20 minute class, Intro to Safety Around Water, which takes place in the pool*. Drowning is the leading cause of death for children with autism. Let's reduce the risk by teaching children how to swim. This event will help you take the first steps while getting great information on how to keep your children happy, healthy, and safe all summer long. It's all free but you must register. 

* Lifeguards will be on duty for free time in the pool and all participants must be swim tested. Nonswimmers will be required to have a parent in the pool with them. Intro to Safety Around Water will be conducted in the pool and parents must be in the pool with their children.
