Social Stories can be a great tool for introducing new ideas or settings to your child. This workshop will go over the effectiveness of social stories, how to create them, and in which situations they are best used.
About the Presenter
Ricky Teichman, Ms Ed, BCBA, is the director of the Puzzle Place Center for Autism. Ms. Teichman holds a Bachelor’s Degree in the Behavioral Sciences and a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Mercy College as well as certification for Early Childhood Education in both NY and NJ. She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, BCBA Supervisor and Licensed Behavior Analyst in the State of NY. She has been trained in the Early Start Denver Model of treatment for children with autism and also in DIR/Floortime.
