How Do I Tell My Child That They Have a Disability 12/15/16 

POAC invites you to participate in a conversation about informing your child that they have a disability or a learning difference.

This will not be a discussion about whether you should or shouldn't inform your child, nor a specific age "when" you should inform your child. Rather, this is an opportunity to learn how to recognize the signs of when your child may be ready to have the conversation. You'll have the opportunity to peruse books and other materials that may help facilitate your family's conversation, and you'll receive a resource list.

This discussion is open to all parents and caregivers who have a child with ANY disability or learning difference. Even if you're not sure that your child is ready for this discussion, we welcome you to join the discussion in preparation for the future. Childcare is available for this session, but you must register.
