A Victim's Plea, Meeting Expectations
Wednesday March 19, 2014
8:30 am - 4:30 pm
Mark your calendar and register today! You won't want to miss this training class led by Nathan Lee, founder and President of the Denise Amber Lee Foundation, and Geoff Weiss, dispatch supervisor for the San Diego Sheriff’s Department tie together the elements of the Denise Amber Lee tragedy.
Students learn of the obvious failures that day to the more in-depth concepts such as leadership, hiring, training and encouraging employees in a communications center.
Sherrill Ornberg will join Nathan and Geoff to incorporate the Quality Assurance & Quality Improvement in the 911 Communicatons Center as a follow up to the MCSA QA/QI Symposium day. Sherrill also serves as a Board of Director on the Denise Amber Lee Foundation.
Nathan’s ability to relate a personal tragedy and motivate us to always do our jobs at the highest level is an inspiration to those who take 9-1-1 calls and support the systems needed to operate 9-1-1.
The Denise Amber Lee Foundation was founded by Denise’s loving husband, Nathan, who sought changes to a 9-1-1 system that failed her that day. The Foundation is here so no other person, family, or community has to endure the pure hell of a similar event and that no other children have to endure a lifetime without the comfort and guidance of their loving mother.
