Mary Lauby will be joining us as our meeting facilitator.

Mary Lauby has spent more than 35 years in various leadership roles working to end violence against women and other gender-based violence. Mary is currently the Director of Communications and Program Development at Prevention Innovations Research Center at the University of New Hampshire, a research center dedicated to gender-based violence prevention. She also continues to serve as an independent consultant on topics such as organizational and board development and policy analysis for non-profit organizations. As a state coalition director, a state funder of crisis services and a local domestic violence program director in Massachusetts and Wisconsin, Mary’s work has focused on state and federal public policy advocacy, organizational development, advancing sexual and domestic violence primary prevention, homicide prevention, social justice, and trauma-informed and evidence-based policies and practices. Mary is currently an appointee to the Board of Health in Salem, Massachusetts and has served on the boards of directors of several state and national organizations, including the National Network to End Domestic Violence, and numerous advisory groups, including the U.S. DOJ/DHHS National Advisory Committee on Violence Against Women, UW Madison Medical School Oversight and Advisory Committee, and the Firearm Advisory Committee of the Medical College of Wisconsin. Lauby has collaborated with researchers, policy makers, advocates and communities throughout the U.S., and in Europe and Nicaragua. She has received numerous awards for her work on state and national domestic and sexual violence public policy as well as with underrepresented communities. Mary is a mother, a grandmother, a gardener, a sometimes-artist, and a golfer.
