April 20, 8:30-4:30, April 21-22, 9:00-3:00
Become certified in “Self-Defeating Habits of Otherwise Brilliant PeopleŽ” in our fun, fast-paced advanced training. You’ll receive all the materials and support you’ll need to deliver session and generate rave reviews!
This seminar gives your clients a clear pathway out of escalated conflict by helping them reframe the true source of tension and shift their focus off inflammatory thinking and personality attribution. The one-day seminar forms the foundation of Thera Rising’s success in resolving and preventing workplace conflict. The material is useful for both thriving and high-conflict workplaces. In high-functioning groups, it helps employees and leaders preserve healthy environments in the face of day-to-day frustration and disagreement. In struggling teams, the seminar is a critical first step toward improved cohesiveness.
Teach your clients to:
- Short-circuit anger, indignation, and blame
- Sidestep the Nine Stages of Escalated Conflict
- Avoid personality attribution–a dead end that impedes resolution
- Enhance their ability to problem-solve by tackling the five root causes of workplace tension
- Eliminate unconscious behaviors that spark power struggles and mistrust
- Focus on hidden situational pressures • Calm angry colleagues or clients and move to solutions
- Avoid negative reciprocity
- Open the dialogue with a 96% possibility of a positive outcome
After attending the seminar as a participant, trainers attend the seminar a second time as observers, using their copy of the trainer’s manual on April 20. The observation session is followed by two days of coaching, practice, and customization on April 21-22.

Certification Step Two: "ReconciliationWorks"
Open to HR and OD Professionals, Independent Consultants, and Union Reps
April 23-24, 9:00-3:00
You’ve equipped your clients with the skills and insight to build powerful, enduring workplace culture. Now, attend the two-day “ReconciliationWorks” and learn how to reverse negative behaviors in teams and how to resolve conflict between two individuals.
Day One – Code of Conduct
Solidify the gains made during "Self-Defeating Habits" by applying the seminar's content directly to your clients' workplace culture. Participants identify destructive and divisive behaviors within their team or department, and then establish healthy, productive alternatives. Individuals take responsibility and ownership of the code, gently nudging outliers toward healthier norms.Day Two – Resolve conflict between two individuals
Bring lasting resolution to entrenched conflicts. Group work cannot address longstanding mistrust between individuals. Learn how to bring estranged colleagues to the table, and make the transition from blame and resentment to shared responsibility for the future."ReconciliationWorks" will prepare you to:
- Discern when a situation calls for conflict resolution rather than performance management, therapy, or coaching
- Generate buy-in and a shared sense of responsibility
- Make it safe for your clients to talk to each other, rather than about each other
- Shift the focus from resentment about past events to future commitments
- Create detailed commitments that withstand the pressure of disagreement
- Avoid the common errors that derail well-intended facilitators
Trainers must have attended Certification Step One: Train the Trainer.

Return on Investment
Fee-Generating ConsultantsYour organization sets seminar facilitation fees for clients between $3,600 and $4,500 per seminar and keeps 100% of facilitation fees. Facilitating a half-day Code of Conduct session is typically billed at $3,200 and resolving conflict between pairs generates roughly $2,800 and $3000 additional income. Your organization keeps 100% of facilitation fees. Your only obligation to Thera Rising is to purchase materials for seminar attendees–a cost that is passed on to your clients.
Example: A client is struggling with a dysfunctional team or department. You recommend a one-day seminar to dismantle factions, a half-day Code of Conduct session to repair group norms, and facilitation to resolve conflict between two key stakeholders. The trainer's total time investment is approximately 3 days and net revenue is more than $10,000.
In-House TrainersProfessionals that work exclusively within their organization can save thousands of dollars in facilitation fees. Royalty requirements are met by purchasing materials from Thera Rising - a cost that can often be met with your client's resources.
