8:30 AM - 1:00 PM
Sponsored by THE EPISCOPAL DIOCESE OF HAWAI`I
As part of the Safe Church Policy, Sexual Misconduct Prevention Trainings are required of clergy, staff, Vestry and Bishop's Committee members, anyone in a supervisory position, and Eucharistic Visitors. This is not to be confused with Safeguarding God's Children Trainings.
The training teaches about and how to guard against sexual harassment of adults and other misconduct. It also teaches about appropriate boundaries in general.
The Diocese uses the expertise of the Rev. Al Miles, through the auspices of Pacific Health Ministry. The Rev. Miles is the Chaplain at Queen's Hospital and is a nationally known figure in this area and in the area of preventing domestic violence.
The Kaua`i training is being held at St. Michael and All Angels in Lihue. To register, click on the link below. Deadline is October 12, 2012.
