How will you start a career conversation in social situations and networking opportunities?
As part of your job search strategy, you will want to make connections with people at organizations of interest to you. This person may be a great source of insights into the organization’s work environment, hiring process and specific jobs or internships.
In this workshop, you will develop your initial career intention statement that is clear, concise and compelling. The outcome is a conversation which will result in a favorable first impression and a connection that may lead to “your next good job.”
Note: This workshop is ideal for anyone planning to attend the Careers for a Cause Meet & Greet on Wednesday, March 4 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Naropa University. The Meet & Greet is open to both Naropa and CU students and alumni!
Workshop facilitator: Dave Blackburn, MyNobleCareer job coach/trainer. Dave is helping people find ‘their next good job.’ Based in Denver, Dave is currently working with private clients, career/job skills Special Education teachers in Denver Public Schools and with clients from Colorado Department of Vocational Rehabilitation. Dave practices Ashtanga Yoga in Denver and Bhatki Yoga in Boulder. He considers the outdoors to be his ‘temple.’
