Join us for this live, online, and in-person workshop on Integrating OMM into the Management of Neurological Conditions. The Integrating OMM workshop series focuses on integrating OMM into the clinical management of medical conditions using a system-based 5-model approach. Chelsey Stull, DO

 Chelsey Stull, DO is an osteopathaic principles and practice integration assistant professor at A.T. Still University-Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (ATSU-KCOM). Dr. Stull earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree in 2017 from Des Moines University College of Osteopathaic Medicine in Iowa and completed an osteopathic manipulative medicine fellowship during medical school. Dr. Stull is board certified in faimly medicine, completing her residency in Olympia Fields, Illinois, from 2017-20. She continued with specialized training in osteopathic neuromuscular medicine at ATSU-KCOM and Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, Missouri, in 2021. She also practices medical acupuncture, completing her medical acupuncture training in 2020 from Helms Medical Institute in Berkeley, California

COURSE INFORMATION

Course Description

A one-hour, live, hands-on workshop, telecast to Still OPTI, NCOPPE, and MAOPS members, focused on the apaplication of osteopathic principles, including OMT techniques, in the clinical management of neurologic conditions.

Education Objective

• Describe and discuss the application of the five osteopathic treatment models in the management of neurologic conditions.
• Discuss the evidence base for the integration of OMM into the management of neurologic conditions.
• Describe and demonstrate OMT suitable for integrating into the outpatient and hospital management of neurologic conditions.

Target Audience

Still OPTI, NCOPPE, and MAOPS attending physicians (DOs and MDs) and residents.

Professional Practice Gap

As part of the osteopathic medical training, the clinical preceptors (faculty) and physicians-in-training must be trained in applying osteopathic principles in clinical practice, specifically the application of osteopathic prinicples in the clinical management of neurologic conditions.

Accreditation Statement

Missouri Accreditation of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons (MAOPS) is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians.

MAOPS designates this program for a maximum of 1 AOA Category 1-A CME credit and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician's participation.

MAOPS designates this live activity for a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the MIssouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons (MAOPS) and Still OPTI. Grievance Policy

All grievances should be in writing and should specify the nature of the grievance. Initially, all grievances should be directed to MAOPS Executive Director, who will then forward said grievance to the Education & Convention Committee. All grievances will receive an initial response in writing within 30 days of receipt. If the participant does not receive a satisfactory response, they can then submit a complaint in writing to the Bureau o Osteopathic Education of the AOA at 142 East Ontario Street, Chicago, IL 60611.
