DANA VOLLMER Dana rose to fame as a 16 year old at the ’04 Olympics in Athens where she won gold for the USA as a member of the world record setting 800 FRelay. In ’08, she failed to qualify for Beijing. Dana kept perservering and against the odds came back in ’12 for London and won gold in the 100 Fly with a new world record of 55.98, the first woman to break :56 seconds in the event. Dana also won gold in the 800 FRelay and 400MR. Dana recorded a record split of 55.48, as the U.S. team set a new world record. Dana now loves sharing her four gold medals, her love of the sport of swimming and how to accomplish your goals while overcoming adversity & hopes to compete in Rio. |
JOSH DAVIS As an undergraduate at University of Texas, Josh was NCAA champion in the 200 Free and earned a total of 23 All American honors. InAtlanta ’96, Josh made history as the only man inany sport from any nation to win three gold medals: 400 FRelay, 800 FRelay & 400 MR. In Sydney ’00, Josh was captain of the team and won two silver medals: 400 & 800 relays. He also broke the American record in the 200 Free three times. Most recently, Josh set the masters records in freestyle in his age dvision (40-45). He has been teaching and racing for the last 15 years across America and is committed to promoting the sport and all its values. |
ANDREW GEMMELL A ’14 graduate of UGA, Andrew qualified for his 1st Olynpics in ’12 by finishing 1st in the 1500M Free and finished 9th in prelims in London, just missing advancing to the finals. He has consistently finished top 6 at US Nationals and has been a member of the US National team since 2009. Andrew also loves open water swimming and at the ’09 World Championships won silver in the 10K and in ’11, he won gold in the 5K team pursuit. Andrew was nominated for the ’09 Golden Goggles award as breakout swimmer of the year. In ’14 he won the Golden Goggle for perserverance for his victory in the 10K at PanPacs. Andrew is currently training with Nations Capital & hopes to compete in Rio. |
