The US SAILING Qualifier Match Race, is a road to the 2015 U.S. Match Racing Championship that will be held at Oakcliff Sailing in October, 2015 and the 2015 U.S. Women's Match Racing Championship at Newport Harbor YC August 14-16, 2015. This clinic and qualifier will be raced in Oakcliff's SM40s with a crew of five or six, subject to a weight limit of 962.5 lbs. US Sailing requires all skippers and crew members to be current members of US Sailing at the time of participation for this event.

The regatta is an Open Entry Event and serves as a qualification event for the 2015 United States Match Racing Championship and the 2015 U.S. Women's Match Racing Championship for the highest placing female skipper. A world ranking is not required. This is the perfect opportunity to compete in your first Grade 3 event. Special consideration will be given to local and regional teams. Interested competitors can register below by MARCH 1.

SM 40 Match Race Clinic -- On Friday, April 10, Oakcliff will run a clinic on how to match race in SM40s. This clinic is open to ALL, though preference will go to teams competing in the Qualifier that weekend.

The coach for this Clinegatta will be Chris Poole who is currently the 25th ranked match race skipper in the world and second ranked in the USA. He intends to focus on boat handling, crew organization and boat speed. Chris is well known for his insightful and informative commentary at high level match race events. This will be his second time teaching a clinic at Oakcliff and he is looking forward to working with everyone.

Now is the time to shake off the dust and get ready to race and to win.
