Oakcliff International 2013 

The Oakcliff International is the culminating regatta in the GRAND SLAM Grade 2 Match Race Series. This is the penultimate match race event at Oakcliff Sailing for 2013.

The Oakcliff International is scheduled for September 4 to September 8. There will be a cash purse. Oakcliff has 10 Swedish Match 40s with new sails. Not only are the boats a thrill to match race, they are also used on the World Match Racing Tour and will be used in the Knickerbocker Cup the week before the Oakcliff International. The Knickerbocker Cup is sailed in Manhasset Bay, which is essentially the next bay over from Oyster Bay, the home of Oakcliff. The other events in the GRAND SLAM Series are the CMRC Invitational, The Detroit Cup and the Knickerbocker Cup.

The overall winner of the GRAND SLAM Series (consisting of the 2013 Chicago Grand Slam, the 2013 Detroit Cup, the 2013 Knickerbocker Cup and the 2014 Oakcliff International) will receive an invitation to 2014 Congressional Cup to be held at Long Beach Yacht Club and to the 2014 Chicago Match Cup, a World Match Racing Tour event.

Invitations will be granted to the most accomplished skippers based on the ISAF World Ranking List. Special consideration will be given to international and women’s teams in addition to those competing in the 2011 GRAND SLAM Series. Please request an invitation (below) no later than July 1. Competitors may enter and pay their entry and deposit fees after receiving an invitation to this event. The winners of the CMRC June Grade 2, Oakcliff Spring Clinegatta and the Oakcliff Summer Clinegatta will receive invitations to the Oakcliff Invitational.
