The Oakcliff July Grade 4 Match Race Regatta is an excellent opportunity to race in the Swedish Match 40s, the boats used for the last two 2012 GRAND SLAM Series events (Knickerbocker Cup and the Oakcliff International) as well as on the World Match Racing Tour. The event will not only be thrilling for each team, but also very useful to teams trying to inprove their match racing skills.

The coach for this Clinegatta will be David Dellenbaugh. David Dellenbaugh is the publisher, editor and author of Speed & Smarts racing newsletter. He was the tactician and starting helmsman on America3 during her successful defense of the America's Cup in 1992 and sailed in three other America's Cup campaigns from 1986 to 2007. David is also a Lightning world champion, two-time Congressional Cup winner, seven-time Thistle national champion, two-time winner of the Canada's Cup, two-time Prince of Wales U.S. match racing champion and past winner of the U.S. team racing championships for the Hinman Trophy.

Priority will be granted to skippers that have demonatrated a proficiency in match racing experience based on performance in Oakcliff grade 5 events, resume or the ISAF World Ranking List. Special consideration will be given to collegiate and women’s teams in addition to teams traveling a distance of more than 500 kilometers. Please send your reguest for invitation at least one month prior to the event.
