NJLCA Membership Meeting 

Thursday, July 14^h, 2016 – 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM 

Ignorance is no excuse… 

If you got pulled over right now, would your truck and trailer pass a roadside inspection? If you’re like most landscape contractors, the answer is “NO”.  Laws are changing all of the time and keeping your trucks and trailers safe and legal is no easy task.

Now I’m sure that many of you out there believe that you know everything when it comes to truck and trailer safety, so we have a little challenge for you.  Tom Barillo has generously offered to bring in his truck, two trailers and a skid steer to get the complete once-over by Jimmy Flannigan of Risk Prevention Consultants and New Jersey State Trooper Scott Dorrier. However, before they do their inspection, you’re going to get a chance to do your own inspection to show us how smart you really are. And, just to make it interesting, the person who’s answers most closely matches ours will have their 2016-2017 dues paid for by the NJLCA (value of up to $425).  This is great news for one lucky winner, since membership dues are due September 1^st, 2016 

If you’re serious about safety and want to learn how to protect yourselves, your employees and the general public, then you must join us tonight.  Everything will be indoors, so don’t worry if it rains. Also, think about bringing your employees to tonight’s event, especially your drivers. Safety is everyone’s responsibility.

Also, tonight we are cleaning house and having our first and last NJLCA Garage Sale.  So bring some cash and pick up hats, shirts, mugs, shot glasses and a few specialty items we’ve collected over the years.
