Remembering Our Hearts:
Living with Ease, Clarity and Warmth

A weekend Meditation Retreat/Workshop

with Senior Tergar Instructor Tim Olmsted
February 3rd - 5th, 2017  in Eugene, Oregon

The essential message of the Buddha and wisdom teachers throughout the ages is that the very qualities that we yearn for and work so hard to develop are immediately present as the essence of our being. The path of awakening doesn’t demand that we change who we are, but simply recognize who we already are. In doing so, we’re able to reconnect with the natural ease, clarity and warmth that we’ve been seeking.

In this retreat, Tim guides us through the full arc of this journey, from the settling of our minds through meditation, to the fruition of the path, as a deep appreciation of our life, the world we live in and the people we meet, even the most difficult ones.

This weekend combines teachings from Mingyur Rinpoche, discussions and meditation practice, which will profoundly enrich our understanding and experience.

Anyone committed to transforming their heart and mind—old hands, and those new to the path, as well as those who work in helping professions, will find this weekend deeply enriching.

Tim Olmsted

About the Tergar Instructor

Tim Olmsted has been a student of meditation for the past 35 years.  For twelve of those years, Tim lived in Nepal working as a psychotherapist serving the international community.  There he studied with many of the greatest Buddhist teachers of our time, including Mingyur Rinpoche's late father, Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche.  After returning to the United States, he served for three years as the director of Gampo Abbey, the largest residential Buddhist monastery in North America.   In 2003, Tim founded the Yongey Foundation to support and promote Mingyur Rinpoche's activities in the West. Tim now travels internationally presenting Mingyur Rinpoche's teachings.  He lives in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, where he leads an active community, and is active in interfaith dialogue.  He is currently the President of the Pema Chödrön Foundation.
