JUDI SCHINDLER,                                            President, Schindler Communications, Inc.

             Judi Schindler, who headed a 10-person public relations and marketing communications firm for more than 30 years, shifted career paths in 2008.

            While still providing communication services to a small client base, she took up a second occupation as an actor, and has performed in local theaters, commercials and films for the past five years.

            Most recently, she developed a 40-minute, humorous entertainment program, titled “Husbands: An Owner’s Manual,” which she performs for women’s organizations, spouse programs and other private events.  (See www.judischindler.com.)  Based on her 48 years of marriage, Schindler reveals how to select a husband and how to maintain him in good working order.

            Still active in the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), she is a founder and past president of the Chicago Chapter as well as a former national officer.  Her work in this area earned her the 1989 Chicago "Woman Business Owner of the Year Award" and the 1986 national award as "Women in Business Advocate" presented by the United States Small Business Administration.  In 2003, she was inducted into the NAWBO Women Business Owners Hall of Fame.

            Listed in "Who's Who in America,” “Who’s Who in American Women” and “Who’s Who in the Midwest,” she has been a frequent speaker, both locally and nationally, on marketing, media and women's enterprise.

            Schindler earned a Bachelor of Science in journalism from the University of Illinois.
